This trailer gets me super pumped up and even more excited for NYFW; which will be here before we know it. Best part! Worst part – it’s not playing anywhere near me! Bummer. Although not having received the best of reviews, I still need to see it to properly file it away in my fashion memory chip.

New York City screams: sites and sounds! Bright lights, energy, fantasy, inspiration and dreams.
Bergdorf’s screams: glamour, luxury, beauty, power, precision, consistency and most importantly, to a clientele of its caliber, hospitality.
A quote that resonates is, “A million and a half eyes see this window per week”.
Having personally experienced many a retail window install, I can more than appreciate the forever present imagination and innovation that David Hoey and his team create, time after time. They are outstanding. It’s no wonder people from all over the world come to see the windows for the Holidays.
When approaching a shop, the window is the first draw. Once the window entices the passerby to come in, the quality must remain consistent. From everything to the music, aroma, lighting, decor, packaging; to the product selection, customer service and follow up. It all goes hand in hand.
Betty Halbreich cracks me up in her cameo. Rebecca Keegan of the Los Angeles Times refers to Halbreich as: “frank, candid, no-holds-barred and wickedly funny” . If anyone can appreciate that, it would be me! A stylist has to have an ability to say it like it is, in my opinion. Keegan quotes Halbreich saying how she, “prides herself by picking visually, rather than by label”. Me too! Don’t get me wrong, shopping by labels and quality go hand in hand but it’s the whole picture that brings it together. Would love the opportunity to have a moment with her. Perhaps a “drink”!
